Fire Protection

Design of basic fire protection systems requires an understanding of the facility and its operations. Knowledge of the owner's requirements as well as the requirements of the owner's insurance underwriter is necessary in designing a fire protection system for the facility. Coordination with the local fire and water departments is an important step in the design process. PTA can provide drawings and specifications for a multitude of fire protection systems including wet-pipe, dry-pipe, preaction, FM-200 and others. PTA engineers are not, however, certified sprinkler designers.
