Jared Singer joins the PTA team

May 2008 – Jared Singer joins the PTA team as an Ohio Engineering Intern. Jared was previously employed as a mechanical engineer at Honda in Marysville, Ohio. Jared’s mechanical engineering degree is from the University of Akron.

The 2008 summer co-op session has begun

May 2008 – The 2008 summer co-op session has begun with Dominic Campriana joining the mechanical department and Timothy Mirth joining the electrical department. Both co-ops are pursuing engineering degrees in their respective disciplines from the University of Akron. Welcome back to Nick Peters and Eric Wright.

Dave Wagar has joined the PTA team

April 2008 - Dave Wagar has joined the PTA team. He brings six years of AutoCAD drafting experience to the mechanical department.

Kent Marco Kucheman has passed away

February 2008 – Our company's founding father, Kent Marco Kucheman passed away at age 83 after a short illness. Kent leaves behind a loving family and many friends. After graduation from the University of Akron, Kent worked as an estimator for an electrical contractor before becoming involved in design. Consequently, he always stressed the importance of detail and graphical representation in design documents. We are grateful for his many years of leadership, guidance and example. Our company and industry is better because of his values and hard work. Kent made a difference.

PTA Names Three Associates

February 2008 – We are pleased to formally introduce our Associates, Michael Casseday, Brian Holloway and Patrick Klanac. Michael Casseday took employment with the consulting engineering firm in January of 1987. Mike has extensive experience in electrical distribution, lighting and systems design for healthcare, education and commercial facilities. Mike is a registerd professional engineer in the State of Ohio and a member of IEEE, NSPE, TriCounty Code Interpretation Committee and IAEI. Brian Holloway has over 23 years experience in the mechanical engineering consulting field, which includes the planning, design, on-site observation and specifications for commercial, healthcare and education facilities. Brian is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Ohio. He is a member of ASHRAE and a past chair of the Student Activities Committee. Patrick Klanac has over 18 years experiece as a mechanical engineer involved in the planning design and specification of mechanical systems for healthcare, laboratory, cultural arts, commercial/office, educational and data centers. Pat is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Ohio and 17 other states, and maintains NCEES certification. Pat is a member of ASHRAE, is the past President of American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Ohio (Cleveland Region) and served on the ACEC Ohio Board of Directors in 2003 and 2004.

PTA welcomes two new members to the team

February 2008 – We are pleased to welcome two new employees to PTA. Brian Blanda and Don Muckley have joined the AutoCad team. We look forward to their contributions to the firm.

Three team members join PTA for their second co-op tours

January 2008 – Caleb Kuzman (Electrical Engineering), Tom Myers (Mechanical Engineering) and Mark Howell (Mechanical Engineering) join us in early January as they begin their second co-op tours with Peters, Tschantz & Associates, Inc.

Anne-Marie Hawkins joins PTA

January 2008 – We are pleased to start off the year by welcoming Anne-Marie Hawkins to our firm. Anne-Marie's background in office operations and management will be a great asset to the firm.

Announcing our new corporate name

December 2007 – Peters, Tschantz & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce our new corporate name. We remain committed to providing innovative and high quality engineering design and related services. We look forward to growing and developing our staff to expand and improve our level of services.

Jeff Cerveny receives Professional Engineer status

December 2007 – Jeff Cerveny, Mechanical Engineer, received notice of his Professional Engineer status this month after passing the PE exam earlier this year.

Christine Duke becomes Business Manager

December 2007 – We are pleased to announce that Christine Duke has been named Business Manager. Christine brings over 10 years of marketing and engineering experience and holds a BSBA and an MBA from the University of Akron. Christine will be responsible for the management of marketing efforts and day-to-day office operations.

Cortney Dague joins the PTA team

December 2007 – A new face will greet you in our reception area. Please take a moment to say hello to Cortney Dague the next time you stop by or place a call to our office. Cortney brings a cheerful disposition and is an energetic addition to the PTA team.

Mike Turner begans first co-op with PTA

December 2007 – Mike Turner, studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Akron, began his first co-op tour with PTA this month.

PTA welcomes Chad Beery

September 2007 - Chad Beery has joined our firm as an Ohio Engineer Intern after two previous co-op tours. Chad graduated in 2006 from the University of Akron with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the College of Engineering.

PTA team members participate in Marathon team relay

September 2007 - Three teams participated in the Akron Road Runner Marathon Team relays. This has become an annual event for the firm having participated now for its fourth consecutive year. Great job teams!

PTA sponsors Crown Point "Taste of the Earth" event

August 2007 – The firm was a sponsor of the Crown Point “Taste of the Earth” event. This annual dinner and fundraiser benefits the Crown Point Ecology Center. The center is a resource for education in sustainable practices and organic farming. We were happy to be a part of this event where select chefs prepared foods from local/grown organic produce. Third annual golf outing

August 2007 – The third annual golf outing held on the 17th of August was a rousing success. The victorious team included Mike Svasta, Dave Hernandez, Chuck Blackburn and Kristy Istvan. A good time was had by all.

Students join PTA for third co-op tour

August 2007 – University of Akron students, Maynard Guadiz (Electrical Engineering) and Jennifer Richardson (Mechanical Engineering) rejoined PTA for their third co-op tours.

Don Oldaker receives his CPD

June 2007 – Don Oldaker received his Certified Plumbing Design (CPD) accreditation. Don has 25 years of design experience.

Four students join PTA for co-op tours

May 2007 – Caleb Kuzman (Electrical Engineering) and Tom Myers (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Akron and Nick Peters (Electrical Engineering) from The University of Dayton began their first co-op tours. Eric Wright (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Akron returns for his third co-op tour.

Dave Tschantz honored at The University of Akron

April 2007 - Dave Tschantz was honored this month with the Distinguished Alumni Award from The University of Akron College of Engineering. Dave was recognized not only for his professional contributions to the engineering and construction community but also for his service to the university and to the community of Northeast Ohio. The award was presented at the annual breakfast for Distinguished Engineering Alumni held at the Martin University Center.
