September 2009 - Buildings today are becoming more complex and as such, the construction industry is changing, necessitating the advancement of the industry's design tools and software.  PTA is prepared to apply the latest technology in software to improve building design and systems engineering.  A team of engineers and drafters at PTA are working together to implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.  The BIM software allows engineers at PTA to design Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems in a three dimensional environment, optimizing the building's constructability and efficiency.  See the team in action below in our "BIM Lab", a dedicated space within our office for BIM learning, implementation, and coordination.
