This project included the replacement on a pump control panel at an active wastewater pumping station. Along with the control panel replacement, other modifications to the station included a new pressure transducer, floats, wet well connection box and lightning protection system. The pump control panel was provided under a separate contract with the control panel vendor. Upon the commencement of the design, PTA worked closely with the project civil engineer, owner and control panel vendor to ensure that all of the requirements were met. In order for exact specifications to be met, multiple thorough reviews of the manufacturer’s shop drawings were required prior to the completion of the design. Maintaining the existing functionality of the control panel and integrating new features requested by the owner were critical to the success of the project.
