Project Details
This project consisted of a new 1,800 square foot standalone classroom facility to host the Cleveland Metroparks school program activities. The facility interior was designed to complement the existing Nature Center, which is a designated historical building showcasing the 1930s “Works Progress Administration” (WPA) craftsmanship. The HVAC system design included a split system with air distribution hidden in a bench enclosure. Close coordination with the Metroparks' architect ensured the interior design integrity. Plumbing work was limited to extending propane service from an on-site tank and provisions for future domestic water and sanitary systems. Electrical work included a new feeder service and panel board at the service entrance, new LED lighting with occupancy sensors, new receptacles and provisions for future A/V data systems
