This Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) project added a four story 92,148 square foot addition to the existing NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center. The two upper floors are devoted to the extension of the Bio-Med Academy, a STEM+M curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math + Medicine) school which serves approximately 600 students grades 7-12.

The lower two floors of the addition included tenant space on the first floor that will accommodate anything from retail to offices. The second floor will support the Wasson Center, a relocated and expanded simulation center that will be utilized for teaching NEOMED students. The remainder of the second floor will include shared space between the NEOMED and Bio-Med functions.

The Bio-Med Academy is the first of its kind in the nation and was developed with sustainability in mind. This was the first school facility in Ohio to achieve LEED v4 BD+C Silver Certification.
